Othello Castle
Othello Castle is a castle in Famagusta that was commissioned by the Kingdom of Cyprus. It is one of the 15 sights of Cyprus featured on this site and is the 12th most looked-up sight in the country on English Wikipedia.
Planning a visit
The best time to visit is during the summer months from June to August, when temperatures average between 24 °C and 28 °C and there is little to no rain. The months of May and September also offer warmer weather with low rainfall. In contrast, the winter months of December and January are cooler, with average temperatures around 14 °C to 16 °C and more frequent rain.
Visitors can reach the castle via Ercan International Airport, which is 40 km away. The site is located 53 km from the capital, Nicosia. Adult tickets cost 100 TL. While visiting, you can see the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque 0.3 km away, or travel to nearby Salamis, the Church of Saint Lazarus in Larnaca, or Hala Sultan Tekke.
