Planning a visit

Auckland experiences mild temperatures year-round, with daily highs peaking at 22 °C in February and dipping to 14 °C in June, July, and August. Rain occurs throughout the year, but visitors encounter the highest frequency of precipitation between May and August, when rainy days number between 16 and 17 per month. The warmer, drier months of January and February provide the most consistent weather for viewing the city from the tower. The site is located at the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets, 18 kilometers from Auckland International Airport and 494 kilometers from Wellington. Nearby, visitors can travel 6 kilometers to reach Maungakiekie / One Tree Hill. The tower operates Monday through Thursday from 09:30 to 20:00, with extended hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 22:00. Adult admission is $47, and an annual pass costs $110.
