Coiba is a national park and island located in Panama's Veraguas Province. Established in 1992, this site is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ranks as one of the most looked-up sights in Panama. It covers an area of 503 square kilometers.

Planning a visit

The most suitable time to visit Coiba is during the drier months of January, February, and March. During this period, rainfall is limited to between 3 and 10 days per month. From April through December, the park experiences heavy rainfall, with many months seeing rain on 24 to 31 days. Throughout the year, average temperatures remain consistent, hovering between 25 °C and 26 °C.

Travelers arriving by air can use Enrique Malek International Airport in David, which is 124 km from the park. Alternatively, Tocumen International Airport serves as a hub 318 km away. The park is located 298 km from Panama City. As the park is an island, visitors should plan for maritime transport to reach the area.
